Biden presidency is now dead

Senator Joe Manchin, D-WV, always untrustworthy, actually is a firm No on the Build Back Better spendabalooza.

You could literally hear the gasps from liberal commentators on ABC’s This Week. Check out this short clip. Amazing. You could see the dismay in this nitwit’s demeanor.

The presidency of Joe Biden is hereby dead. Why?

Because Joe and Nancy and Chuck all threw in on BBB. And the AOC radical wackos went all in on BBB. They invested everything to get BBB passed.

And they all lost.

BBB was their Obamacare. It was their top legislative priority. They told us so over and over since last summer. They promised their rabid constituency that BBB’s socialistic green new deal provisions and union payoffs and on and on would set American on an irreversible course toward socialism.

So the radical Left eagerly threw in.

Sure, Joe’s supporters have been watching more and more of their initiatives melt away. Court packing. Statehood for DC and Puerto Rico. Even their COVID mandates, which they actually thought would be popular, have turned out to be unpopular.

But Build Back Better was the hill to die on.

All they had to do was turn Joe Manchin. Hell, that’d be easy.

But they botched their play. Schumer and Nancy decided to skip more attainable spending avenues and went all in on BBB. They could turn Manchin. Hell, that’d be easy.

But uncharacteristically, Manchin stuck by his $1.5 TRILLION number through it all.

When Manchin finally forced a financial scoring of BBB the other week, and that score was far higher than Biden let on (remember the “it pays for itself” nonsense?) and far higher than Manchin’s target, Manchin’s leverage increased.

And yet the radicals, being rather dumb negotiators, pressed a losing position.

You could smell defeat in the air a few days ago when they postponed the vote on BBB to after the holidays. Time kills deals. Manchin made his stand. Again, uncharacteristically.

Now Joe (Biden), besides being confused and listless, besides having lost the independent voter, besides his horrible polling, now Joe can’t even deliver on his promise to his base on something as fundamental to them as the Green New Deal.

So, why did the Biden presidency die on December 19, 2021? Because now even the radical Left cannot support him. It’s almost a guarantee now that his polling numbers will drop into the 20s as his base support bleeds away. These numbers are lower than when Nixon boarded the helicopter.

Believe it or not, as a politician in America you still need the people’s support. When the American public views you as feckless, weak, and even illegitimate, you cannot get things done.

In less than a year, Biden’s presidency has utterly collapsed.
