Kari Lake's lawsuit is evidence-based and tightly argued
IOW, it's the exact opposite of Lindell's "PACKETS!!!!" and Sidney Powell's "Release the Kracken" distractions of 2020
AZ had to first certify their election before it can be contested. And here we are. Kari Lake’s lawsuit is, shall we say, feature-packed. It actually makes for very informative reading.
The key aspect of Lake’s claim lies in signature matching. Then she gets into tabulator breakdowns and how those breakdowns led to disenfranchisement. Then she touches on the fact that the country recorder (Richer) started an anti-Lake PAC, how Hobbs (as SoS) worked directly with Twitter and DHS/CISA, and more.
A lawsuit needs to show that there is substantial evidence that the election could have a different outcome but for the claims. Sig matches ALONE easily pass this test.
Backing up signature matching are things like tabulator breakdowns and disenfranchisement evidence that also are verifiable, though just a tidbit less verifiable than sig matching.
That Hobbs kibitzed with Twitter, that Recorder Richer ran an anti-Lake PAC, that Maricopa Board of Supervisors (BOS) head Gates lied to the media, that the BOS withheld data as part of its certification, and on and on — all this is important as a backdrop.
Signature matching, though, is the point of the spear.
So, with Kari Lake’s lawsuit, we have an evidence-based claim that offers auditable data (sig matching). Fraudulent signatures (arising from mail-in balloting) itself was identified by none other than Jimmy Carter following the FL mess of 2000 as the A#1 means of spoiling election integrity.
Kudos to Lake for pursuing this lawsuit and the line of attack.
Contrast this to the shitshows post-Nov 2020. Lindell and his PACKETS!!! nonsense. Lin Wood and Sidney Powell and their “Kracken” nonsense. And credit to Rudy G for trying but he went down the machine rabbit hole — he ain’t no election law specialist. They all forgot to check the damned signatures. Jeez.
(Machines ARE a problem but hard to prove. Sigs, on the other hand, are ready-made evidentiary records.)
One thing in common between 2020 and 2022 is: the RNC is nowhere to be found. Well, whatdoyaknow? Do not give $$ to the RNC or WinRed or any of those clowns. Give directly to the candidate. The RNC is a complete shitshow.
Finally, the AZ audit following 2020 is heavily referenced in Lake’s lawsuit. Contrary to reporting, that audit surfaced many irregularities that were repeated in 2022 but now provide a historical backdrop to this suit. It’s a good basis from which to start.
Now it’s entirely up to the judge — and we know how the courts have behaved badly in these matters. The key difference is that the 2020 shitshows generally presented weak cases, easy for lazy-ass and corrupt judges to dismiss (the TX lawsuit by Paxton was the exception). Not so with this lawsuit. This one will be hard to dismiss out of hand.
