The whole Trump-Ye dinner thing
A total setup that, like all previous setups, will fail to blunt the Trump juggernaut
Remember when Trump would be crushed by not endorsing McCain, and even denigrated St John McCain in the 2016 primary season? He said McCain was a lousy pilot!! TRUMP JUST RUINED HIS CHANCES!!!!! went the headlines.
How ‘bout the crotch-grab audio leak? Remember that one? TRUMP IS TOAST NOW!!! blared the headlines.
Then, of course, you have the elaborate Trump-Russia deep state operation that began, you may recall, in the summer of 2016, and which gave Hillary some meat to gnaw on. TRUMP IS A PUTIN PUPPET!!!! blared the fatass.
Megan Kelly, in the first 2016 primary debate, was designated the Kill Switch, charged with taking out Trump in the first debate … at Roger Ailes’ direction. Didn’t turn out so well for Megyn. Or Ailes. Or FoxNews. Much less Rosie O’Donnell.
What do all these events have in common? They were certain to take Trump down.
Trump went on to shock the world. Then, in his presidency, we have Impeachment 1, Impeachment 2, Russiagate, Ukrainegate, etc., etc., etc.
Now we come to The Dinner. It’s all the news now. The dinner at Mar-a-Lago, where the FBI recently romped claiming there were nuclear secrets. Remember? That Mar-a-Lago. Oh, that was also
I’m of course speaking of the dinner with Trump, Ye (Kayne West) and Nick Fuentes.
This. THIS. THIS. will be the end of Trump. This will take him out of 2024.
No so fast.
We all know Trump loves to jawbone with anybody. It’s actually an endearing trait of his. It leads to things like this, which nobody could have foreseen:
I sense a Trump of 2016 in his actions lately, rather than a subdued, Jared Kushner-dumbed-down version we had in 2020. These actions would include the dinner. “Why not meet with Ye?” he should say. “I didn’t know this other guy (Fuentes)”.
You see, Ye is running for president in 2024. He’s a whack job who has gone off the edge with his anti-semitism stuff. But he *is* running. So it was a win-win for the two to meet. Why not? It’s not Trump’s fault that Ye is a whack job. Knowing Ye has not a prayer, and Ye knowing Ye has not a prayer, Trump could bring him into his fold. It’s what Trump does.
A lot has been made of the other guy at the dinner — Nick Fuentes. He is pure grift, a total loser and someone Trump should definitely not have had at the dinner. If I saw him drowning, I would not lend a hand. Fuentes is a clown show.
The corporate Republicans have been badgering Trump ceaselessly — not so much about meeting Ye, but in meeting with Fuentes. Of course, Ben “Anti-Trump” Shapiro, Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo, and the rest of the blowhards have had a field day. They scoffed at Trump’s claim that he had no idea who Fuentes was.
But a funny thing happened Monday night when Ye, Fuentes and Milo — grifter’s all — sat down with Tim Pool … then abruptly walked out of the show. In the brief time they were there, Ye clearly stated that he (not Trump) had Fuentes along unannounced AND that Trump actually did not know Fuentes. Ye certainly has no reason to lie. And buried in all the hoopla about the Timcast IRL walk-out is the fact that Trump honestly didn’t know Fuentes.
There goes that Trump-bashing narrative!!
This little dust-up won’t change things. Trump will brush this latest onslaught off just as he has all the other setups. And mark my words — that’s precisely what this was. A setup.
And while it does show Trump’s proclivity to meet with anybody, he needs a trusted vetting team now that he’s running once more. He truly needs to get the 2016 band together.
The real story is that Trump is taking on not only the Deep State, not only the Republican establishment, but also hangers-on who, like Ye, Fuentes, and Milo Yiannopoulos, are all total grifters fueled by the likes of Roger Stone and other Trump-haters.
Only Trump represents a threat to the $TRILLIONS$ at play. Literally trillions of dollars doled out in Washington DC in furtherance of the Uniparty grift machine.
Only Trump.
No other Republican candidate poses this threat.
Only Trump.
And this is why this latest setup played out. You have to give a hand to Milo and the others — they played to Trump’s weakness. Mr Jawbone himself. But, for perhaps a fleeting win, they have burned their bridges once again and will retreat back to their meaningless lives.
And Trump will move forward.
